The Dolly Sisters
Icons of the Jazz Age - A New Musical
“Perfect Mirror Images – whose gold sister fever during the Scott Fitzgerald days infected an already dizzy, reeling generation.”
“The sisters’ plumed fans, fabulous diamond headdresses and reckless nights at Monte Carlo’s casinos underscore a bitter showbusiness tango that fatally seduced the beautiful bodies who danced it." A 1980s press release.
The story of identical twin entertainers Jenny and Rosie Dolly who lit up the flapper era with their style and fearlessness. From their humble origins in Budapest, they danced their way to fame on Broadway before conquering London and Paris via the casinos of Monte Carlo, racetracks around Europe, and the broken hearts and minds of the millionaire elite.
Although identical in appearance, they were different in every way, and lived their lives on a razor's edge until they were tragically cut short.
